I work with clients beginning at age 14 and older.

All of our sessions are 60 minutes long. Depending on the nature of your treatment we may meet weekly, or bi-weekly. And there may be times when a longer session is recommended. This is something that we can discuss as we decide collaboratively on what will serve you best. I prefer to meet weekly for the first four sessions so that we can get to know one another and then determine the best manner to continue our work.

At this time I offer services through telehealth using a HIPAA compliant secure platform and I also have some limited inperson availability in my office in Natick, MA. In order to make the most of our remote sessions, it is best if you attend our sessions in a space in which you can communicate freely and confidentially such as home, office or a parked car.
-
You will receive an email with a link to our telehealth session which you should click on to join at the time of our session. In order to engage in telehealth therapy you will need a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone as well as access to the internet. To ensure your privacy during our session you may wish to utilize headphones that connect to your device.

To start, you may either contact me HERE, via email at nancy@bewellcounseling.llc, or at 781-214-0505. I will follow up at a mutually convenient time to discuss what you are looking for, answer any questions you may have, and we will decide mutually if there is a good fit with what you are looking for and what I can provide. From there we will discuss how to best move forward.

According the the American Psychological Association, online therapy is equally as effective as traditional in-person sessions for treating symptoms of anxiety and depression. Initial research also supports that there are good clinical outcomes for EMDR using telehealth for treating trauma. It should be noted that telehealth sessions may not be suitable for people with severe mental illness, or for those who pose a safety risk to themselves or others.
-
During our initial therapy session, I will ask getting-to-know-you questions and explore and identify what you may be hoping to achieve through our work. From there I will establish treatment goals, and session frequency and answer any questions you may have about the process and what you can expect. Our future sessions are intended to be supportive towards helping you to achieve your goals. Throughout the process, we will work together, in a way that feels most comfortable to you. There is some paperwork that I will ask you to complete either before or during our first meeting. If it turns out that we are not a good fit for each other, I would be happy to refer you to another therapist with the desired skills or treatment approach.
-
The length of time or number of sessions is estimated at the outset of our work together. Some people prefer to work on specific challenges which may occur over a shorter period of time, while others may be interested in longer term support to manage life’s ongoing stressors. We can determine the frequency of our visits, and the duration of our work together based on your treatment goals.
-
At the outset of our work together we will discuss what you are hoping to achieve through therapy and we will form treatment goals together. Treatment goals are intended to help focus our work on your goals in a way that maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of the process. Recognizing that life is always changing, treatment goals are also likely to shift over time and this is inherent in the nature of the therapeutic process.

I offer therapy sessions at the rate of $200 per 60-minute session. All of my services are billed at this hourly rate.

Be Well Counseling Services LLC accepts all major credit cards and Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account cards, utilizing a HIPAA compliant online payment portal as well as IVY pay, and other methods if needed. Payment is due at the time of our session.
-
At this time I do not accept insurance as a form of payment as Be Well Counseling Services LLC is not contracted with insurance companies. This means that I do not accept payment for services through your health insurance coverage directly. I work as an out of network provider which means that payment for services is expected from each client at the time my services are rendered. I can provide you with a receipt for services if you wish to utilize your out-of-network insurance benefits to seek reimbursement. It should be noted that payment for my services is due at the time of our sessions regardless of whether you intend to seek reimbursement on an out-of-network basis.
-
My preference is to focus our work on the things that you are struggling with, and your individual symptoms, and to provide treatment that is tailored to you in the most beneficial way that will yield you the best results. The requirement for me to provide treatment that is covered by an insurance company limits my flexibility in the way I am able to provide you with the most suitable and appropriate treatment. For instance, insurance companies may limit our session length, duration and frequency of our treatment, and they require that I provide a diagnosis in order to justify your need for services.
-
Yes, I can provide you with a receipt for services rendered, also called a “superbill,” that you can use to seek reimbursement with your health insurance company, if available. At the inception of our work, I can provide you with guidance on how to navigate working with your insurance company to seek out-of-network reimbursement. It should be noted that there is no guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you under any out-of-network benefit provision.
-
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide patients who do not have insurance or choose not to use their insurance with an estimate of the expected charges for therapy/counseling services. This is called a Good Faith Estimate. I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate of the cost of my services after we have discussed your wishes and explored what you are looking to accomplish in therapy. You are also entitled to receive a Good Faith estimate before our first session, upon request.
For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, please visit www.cms/gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059

Yes, I do offer the ability to pay a reduced fee to clients upon inquiry. These arrangements are typically intended to support clients who may be experiencing a temporary setback due to an unexpected circumstance.
-
I realize that we all have many important responsibilities and commitments in different areas of our lives outside of attending scheduled therapy sessions. At the outset of treatment, we will agree on a session schedule that fits your needs and requirements. Subsequently, I simply ask that you treat our scheduled time together with courtesy and respect. I prefer to have a 24-hour notice of any known cancellations, and I will always do my best to reschedule our session at a mutually convenient time. In the case of unexpected or last-minute cancellations, I will attempt to reschedule our sessions in the same week, if possible.
As is the case with any professional relationship, excessive repeated absences will necessitate further exploration and discussion to identify a mutually beneficial session schedule or cessation of services, if consistent regular attendance is not possible.
